My Girl Scouts Project

Is there much better than FRIENDS?????? That is what I thought when I was asked by a friend to design a project for her Girl Scout (Brownies) troop. I kept thinking that I wanted to do a mini book. The subject FRIENDS just kept coming to mind - so I went with it.

This was a group of 6-9 year old girls. It had to be cute and cool, too! So I decided to start with patterned paper. The paper I ended up choosing is Stampin' Up!'s "Cutie Pie". So that dictated the colors. All supplies used are Stampin' Up! (punches, cardstock, patterned paper, ink, stamps, brads, ribbon).

We made the book with the Girl Scouts last night - and they had an ABSOLUTE BLAST!!! They managed to finish the whole book in 1.5 hours and even stamp in their book for fun! They did a fantastic job!!!!

Another "class" card

I'm back! LOL

Here's another card I did for a class. I CASEd my fantabulous friend HB - she is SUPER TALENTED - and a wonderful woman!

I used my Papertrey Ink stamp set Green Thumb. Nichole is such an incredibly talented woman - her designs are classy and timeless -and a delight to use!! The girls in my class ADORED this card!
The cardstock, ink, and patterned paper (Designer Series, Bali Breeze) are Stampin' Up!

Teaching classes in my new stamp studio in my basement has been a BLESSING! I am stamping again (before I did my studio, I couldn't find anything because it was all CHAOS in literally well over 100 "totes"). I am having so much fun - and my friends are loving coming over for classes. I have met a bunch of NEW friends, too - and am having the time of my life!

Hope you are having the time of your life, too! :)

Cards for Class

Happy Sunday!!

I've got 2 today! I'm teaching a class on Tuesday and thought I would share 2 of the cards that we are doing. They are pretty simple, but I think fun!!

I decided to pull out my Papertrey Ink stamps and just let myself have fun. I LOOOOVE the elegance and timelessness of the Papertrey stamps!

The first card was inspired by my friend Mish. I love her layouts and sketches!

I hope you all have a wonderful day!!

Swap Time

Hi! Hope today finds you well!!

I recently did a swap with a group of friends. Now, typically I have no problem participating in a swap. BUT - this time it was for the Stampin' Up! Occasions Mini Catalog, and I actually didn't have any of the stamp sets at the time *the horror*!!!! My friend Suze hosted the swap. She said she could stamp off some images for me and send them so I could participate! WOOHOOOOOOO!!!!

So I received my image - it was from the stamp set "For Father". I was nervous - NERVOUS!!!! The image was stamped on SU!'s watercolor paper. I'm not so great at watercoloring. And it's not like I HAVE the image to stamp again once I screw up!!!! LOL

I actually like how it came out. The coloring wasn't horrific - I actually had fun coloring the images. That watercolor paper is WONDERFUL! I also used the background stamps "Twill" and "Sanded" from Stampin' Up! The swap was complete and I LOOOOOOOOVE the cards I received in return!

Thank you Suze!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have a beautiful day! :)
